College General, Penang Stay-in-experience

8-10 august 2008

there was a vocation camp going on, Rev. Fr. Phillips Muthu called me a few weeks before to ask me if i m free for those dates to go for a vocation camp, at first i was a little reluctant to go because i am afraid that there is going to be like 5 hours silent moments, so i went back told my father plan out everything and i decided to go because this is once in a life time.

even though i have to miss my brothers confirmation, i still thing it is going to be a very meaningful camp

1 week before the camp Nicholas called me, he told me tht we hav to meet at Puduraya by 9.30 to take the 10.30 bus, about 11 of us went there, Edward, Dom, Aaron Siva, Winson, Benjy, Robyn,Chris, Kelvin, Nicholas, Adam and Benny, we took transnational bus with 3 seater a row, at a bout 3.30p.m, we arrived at Penang Sg. Nibong bus station, we all didn't know how to get to the place, so we called Rev. Fr. Simon an ask him how we should go, he said take the taxi

as we reach the place, we saw Fr Simon cutting grass, n he told us to find for David, so David told us to go to our room n it was clean n comfy,

so at about 7.30 p.m, the food is served, and at tht place, we met Bishop Soter, Fr. Edwin, Fr Simon, Bro Peter, Gregory, Anthony, Simon, David Kevin James, Robert, all these people are amazing, they feed us with alot of food, then later we had ice breaker at 8.30 p.m, we all had 2 games, name a fruit after ur first letter of your name, for e.g. Apple=Aaron n the 2nd game was some hiding behind the curtain thgny, later we had our supper

on the 2nd day, woke up at 6.30, and went up to the chapel, when i say up i meant climbing up the Mountain, and stayed for Mass then at 8.15 we had our breakfast,
Our first session was at 9.00: History of College General, then 9.30 Formation in College General, at 10.30 we Who is Diocesan Priest?

and then we were separated into groups for our Vocation Sharing

and at 12.30 we had our lunch,

all of us couldn't wait for Games i suppose, there was football and volleyball, it was an awesome, funny game, u can't put Man utd and Arsenal supporters in a team, they will fight for the same ball...hahaha

then we had our Evening Prayer at 7.00

at 8.30p.m, we had our Agape Night, not knowing wht is Agape, i just call it Love night, but there is no girls involved in this seminary, we were separated into groups again, n this time is with different churches, there were 37 of us in this camp from the whole peninsular Malaysia and by 12a.m lights off

and the next day, we had our meditation at 7a.m n mass at 10a.m

after the mass, we had a tour around the campus and museum and art gallery

n we left the place 2.15, the best thg is, we were all nuts as in we cramp ourself in 1 van, terrible...n we actually make the most noise in the bus throughout the whole journey, it was really fun n a through experience

the last day to play with Assumption Praise Ministry,
sad n bad thts wht i felt
played badly for 1 important song for the mass,
but cathy told me to forget about it
but i cant becoz this is my last day playing with them

not sure if i m gona rejoin this grp nxt year
it all depends on my internship company
having fun singing, practicing, playing drums, n fellowship on monday nights hav to come to an end

but i'll try to join them for mass times
i hope tht i didnt hurt any1 in anyway in apm
if i do, i m so so sorry

Saito College Graduation Night Performance

4th of july till 18th of july 2008

i was chosen to be the leader for saito college choir as we are singing our first college song since 1988, and the song is compose by catherine januarius, my fren.

alot of time has been wasted n getting a composer, n the lecturer decided me to bring my fren in to start, so we did.

since the college cant pay too much for some1 else to teach us n conduct us, we decided tht we shall bring our own college student which is daniel tan chee tat.

had our practice for the first time on the 4th, get to know them better n just randomly talk to them while the coordinator/conductor conduct the practice.

had alot of ups n downs since then as we couldnt find dates for our practice. but we need alot of time for this practice as we are singing s,a,t,b soprano, alto, tenor, bass

but anyway, all of us actually put alot of sacrifice for this choir, coz wht we do now is for the future

came 18th of july, i was nervous coz some of them in the choir actually didnt know how to start the intro of the song, but they actually know the song

in order to release tension, went and cam wore with any1 every1 whom i know or may not know

we can feel the nerves, our performance is at 9p.m but we went backstage to prepare at 8.45pm

need to get use of the crowd first before going to the stage, so yar

had very lil practice but all of us trusted ourselves.

*an unforgettable saturday*

5th July 2008

Like any other Saturdays, i and my dad will go to St. Francis Xavier church at PJ.

At the opposite side of the church, i saw 4 army trucks with a few police.

hearing rumors in my head, i m telling myslf, will the army take over Malaysia, if they do, what will the do??and as i ntered the loyola hall in SFX. i just put myslf int he present of God, but yeah, somethg did interrupt me, archidex.

i was dissapointed bcoz my fren went to KLCC convention centre for this archidex. but i i know God has a plan for me. Mayb he doesnt want me to travel too much and be in church coz u might not know wht will happen outside there.

and after the whole thg. my dad and i went to giant at thrifty to buy some salad stuff. and we rushed back home to go to Pelangi Club at Paramount Garden for my grand aunts b'day.

As we nter. i was amazed with the environment, it was 5 star, i thk more??

i was really happy to meet my cousins there, from aussies, frm america, but born in M'sia la

and after all this, at about 11.30, we wen back home sweet and sound

*malaysian society of interior design (msid)*

MSID

(28th of July, Saturday)

expecting something good out of msid, eagerly waiting for that day to come closer, all gear up for any competition, and since this is an event organize by Malaysian Interior Designers, i expected a good hostel and environment.

it was jam at the entrance of the University, i know is gona be grand, n at the main ntrance of the building, cool design were displayed:



our usher by the name Nawa, brought us to our room:

we shared this room with Sunway: there are 16 colleges in this event

then we were called to go to the hall for the opening ceremony:

and later we proceed to the back of the hall for our lunch. after that, some of my college mates attended a seminar at an auditorium while me, allen, stella, ming siew, yati, sarah and shahu went to the room to finish our work for some competition.



Then few hours later, came our frenz, they were saying tht they need a representative frm each college to stay at the auditorium, and you wouldnt bliv this, none of them stayed, they came down just to announce. for the sake of SAITO college, i volunteered as a leader of saito college for this event. Then i went back to the room. my lecturer was in there, more assignments were given. zig saw was one of them.


And later we hav to move from iium, gombak to metropolitan, kepong to start our competitions. we had explorace, kite competition and zig saw competition there. during our brief, the person in charge actually do not know wht on earth to do. he only knows a few stuff!.

reason; the person incharge was not him, it was the nippon paint people waiting and waiting, tired of waiting


at last we get to start. and so wht we did was, trying to fix up the puzzle, but we couldnt, 1 of the judges said dont waste time, paint first, we are allowed to bring back to iium to finish part of it n they'll give us time to submit. So we did, and this is wht we came out with and we were proud of ourslf

and later in thee evning we went back to iium, the first thg we did was searching our hostel, the way they bring us round the whole land of iium was like frm gombak to damansar!!, really huge! we do not hav time to nter the hostel as our dinner is alrd serve at the main building. after our dinner, again part of us were at the room and part of others were at the auditorium: now is me, stella, allen, and shahu only, we were trying to fix up the puzzle n touch up some of the ugly parts, then came our lecturers from the auditorium giving their extra help. Our main objective for this puzzle to be fix is to make sure evry joints is attached, and is totally difficult.

and so after doing this, we were tired indeed and we went to the hostel, expecting it to be superb from thee outside and was hoping it inside will b a better 1 this is our hostel:

4 ppl in this bloody room was me, bakhee, tarshan, and allen.

things i hated for this day is, iium to metropolitan is nvr near, iium land is huge, why dont just use iium's land? briefing, why does d person in charge doesnt know much?? and hostel, u call urslf interior designer??gosh! u guys r pathetic. but i must say the activities were awesome.

MSID (29th of July, Sunday)

8a.m is our breakfast at the main building, but the four of us actually ran out frm the freakin scary hostel at 7a.m. sat down and stone, thts wht we did.

breakfast is serve, we ate, n the sad part for me is, i cant eat heavy breakfast, only bread

all they hav is. nasi lemak, malays.....haizzzzz...... "I only can leave on BREAD alone in the morning" ANNOUNCEMENT!! to those who are suppose to display ur zig saw puzzle, plz do so and stack it at the gallery, our only hope for this event is this. We are called the SMOKEY WINGS!!

this is wht i said to them: "what is puzzle?, evry puzzle joints MUST be attached, if u look back at your childhood life, the mini puzzles u were playing, if the joints arent attached, it is incomplete. and so the clr we use is based on our team name "smokey wings", when u se smokes, it is grey in clr, n so as u can see there are greys here n the clrs are for wht WE humans want to see. If u relate back to t.v; during the olden days, all u see is black and white, and now wht we wana see is clrs" the Judges said; "wow!, it must be difficult if u want the joints to be attached" it was a very big disappointment, the organizers had a very bad time management! there were 2 colleges who handed in late were winners, and to tell u the truth, our college could hav won 2nd or 3rd place.

CLOSING CEREMONY

tired we were, yet we hav no choice but to b at the closing ceremony, and this is wht u see us Saito college students doing, hahaha more like Malaysian Sleeping Interior Designers.




and after all the whole event, we get nothg, disappointed we were n tired posing for picture

the bad part is, the time management sux! the hostel sux! the food sux!
thee only good thg is, activity in conclusion,
be happy with what u hav n dont complain. but remember, u cant be happy with what u saw in tht video clip!!

Woke up early in the morning, thought i was late for class but i received an sms from my lecturer saying that class is postpone till next Monday.

Not knowing what to do, the first thing i did was onn my laptop, wireless and brushed my teeth.

Read newspaper and all i found was bad news about our politicians, why??. Couldn't answer it because it is none of my business.

Sat in front of my laptop and the first thing i did was; reading my email and listening to songs to practice my drums. I am still getting bored, and i decided to design a new poster for Don't Panic and Levi's competition. Went through all the pictures on internet related to Don't Panic and Levi's. Design what i wanted to and i felt what i did was worth it.

Asked my friends who were online how was it, some say my first design was much more better then my 2nd, some say my 2nd was better, those who said 2nd was much more better are designers, so I'll follow the 2nd.

Ate my lunch, had nothing to do again, start practicing my drums and still i am bored.
Suddenly my dad came home, told me to create a website since i have nothing better to do, website about my self, but i do not know how to do.

Since a friend of mine whom i just got to know recently showed me this blog website last night, i decided to use this blog to promote myself.
